Regional Conference on School Librarianship
April 26-27, 2012  Bacolod City, Philippines
Call for Papers
The Ateneo de Manila University-Rizal Library, Ateneo High School Educational Media Center, and the Private Secondary School Administrators Association of the Philippines (PRISSAAP), in collaboration with the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL), will be holding a Regional Conference on School Librarianship on April 26-27, 2012 at the Bacolod Pavillon Resort Hotel, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.

The theme of the conference is “Directions for the Future of School Libraries”. The conference aims to bring together school librarians and other interested persons to discuss future directions for school libraries in the region. The conference also hopes to establish and strengthen relationships, and support regional cooperation among school librarians.

The Organizing Committee invites proposals for presentations on the following sub-themes:
• Information literacy/21st century skills
• Reading and the school library
• School library space and place planning
• Innovative projects and services
• Teacher-librarian partnerships
• School libraries/librarians of the future
